Obesity bothered Rashmi of ‘Dhuniya’ fame for quite a long and she had to take it seriously. From 59 kilograms Rashmi is now 10 kilograms down.

She looks extra beautiful and bubbling. In the second innings coming back after three years Rashmi surprised the media eyes. On the sets of her comes back film ‘Ashakiranagalu’ at a place like Basavapatna there were betting going on among those who thronged. Two boys betting 1000 came to Rashmi on the sets and inquired whether you are the Dhuniya heroine Rashmi. Rashmi quoted this incident speaking to media persons on Monday evening at Green House Raj Milan.

Here is a chat with Dhuniya Rashmi after the media briefing of ‘Ashakiranagalu’ in which she plays a teacher.

·         I was kept ‘Reshmi’ in the house but I am ‘Rashmi’ in films.

·         I am back to cinema. I have signed a Telugu film that is mounting in June or July. Telugu actor Prabhas cousin is likely to be the hero. I have taken the advance and heard the story.

·         I got an offer from Tamil film maker Thyagarajan father of actor Prashanth. In Kannada I got eight to ten offers.

·         The problem is that most of them did not turn up.

·         Taj Mahal Chandru selected me for ‘Prem Kahani’ but he brought in Sheela. I have his advance with me.

·         In the last three years I took correspondence examination. I am allergic to this Statistic subject. My graduation is unfinished.

·         In the gap I liked the film ‘Mankatha’ and ‘Mission Impossible’, I have not seen much of the Kannada films.

·         I learnt swimming and went to learn dance in Bharathanatyam.

·         I am having the disc problem. I have suddenly reduced my weight you know. That is the reason for this problem.

·         In my second innings I want to act with Puneeth Rajakumar and Darshan. Even if I am not paid remuneration I am ready act.

·         I like Ramya and Aindrita Ray. Both do very good roles.

·         I made a mistake from ‘Mandakini’. That producer BK Srinivas was good but director was not alright in handling the cinema.

·         I want to do Bajari role. I know how to scold only one bad word ‘Bevarsi’.

·         I heard lot of bad words producer and director of ‘Swaranjali’ telling. No money and also bad words for artists and technicians. The allegation he made on me is wrong. In Siddarth Hotel I paid Rs.10000 hotel bill and checked out.

·         After ‘Dhuniya, I have acted in films like Akka Thangi, Mandakini, Kodagu film Ponnuru Manasu, Venki, Anu, Krishna and Swaranjali. Now it is ‘Ashakiranagalu’.

·         My intention in life to earn money for the orphan children and old age people. This is the social work I would definitely do in my life. It will be from my money.
